A gathering place for moms of all ages to discuss the trials and tribulations of motherhood and all issues important to women. A place where ideas are shared in a frank and open manner and support and nurturing of one another is encouraged.
Mommy Connection Biography
Rachael M. (MyLittlePeanut) and Mary Beth C. (MaryBeth) met in 2001 on an on-line message board for expecting mothers. Rachael was expecting her first child, a girl, and MaryBeth, already the proud mother of two girls, a boy. Mary Beth and Rachael only lived a few miles from each other in the St. Louis area, and decided to take their friendship to a new level by meeting in person after their babies were born. Realizing how important it was to share friendships with other moms, both in real life and online, Rachael approached Mary Beth with the idea to jointly form a message board for moms, specific to the area.
On Jan 4, 2004, Mommy Connection St. Louis was born. The board quickly gained momentum, as it was one of the few boards that welcomed uncensored posting, and moms of all backgrounds, sexual orientation, political beliefs, and age. Members quickly referred their friends, and soon, applications were pouring in from all over the Midwest.
Within a few short whirlwind months, Mommy Connection St. Louis became Mommy Connection Midwest. As the board continued to grow, so did the geographical area it covered. Not only did Rachael and Mary Beth receive applications from all over the country, but internationally as well. In a very short time, they both saw the demand and possiblity for so many women and the geographical part of our title was dropped, and the board evolved to simply Mommy Connection. Mommy Connection has enjoyed the membership of hundreds of moms all over the United States, Europe and Australia.
